Had a very nice relaxing time. The place is beautifully decorated and nicely set up with loads of amenities. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Calpe itself is a fun town to explore without the hustle of a big city.

I spent one week there. As I was traveling alone I was afraid of bore. But it hasn’t been the case at all. I met other guys that were very nice people coming from England or Spain; we had a trip in the mountains around for a half day with Herman as guide. The casa accommodations are top. The rooms are perfect. The breakfasts and meals are generous and tasty. And the Casa team is very friendly and attentive. Really the Casa is a nice place to rest, have sporty activities and take nice colors. I’ll come back without hesitation.

Perfect, what else? We went there again this year (we went there at least once a year in the last 5 years). It is always pleasant to stay with Anthony, Bert and Herman. We actually did tried all their rooms by now and they are all very clean and well equiped (Electric adjustable beds, TV, internet, DVD player, some have in addition of the shower a nice hottub and in the Alicante room there is even a kitchen for the ones that prefer to cook themselves). The place is well decorated with modern and tasteful furniture. We like the breakfast buffet, Herman's omelets and Bert's massages. The steam bath is very relaxing after a day at the beach. We've been to many gay guest houses already and this one is probably one of the best ones, we can't wait to go back for a relaxing weekend or a sunny week.

Perfect Ambiance, Perfect Hosts, Excellent Service. In 2007 it was our first time in Casa La Diferencia. We returned in 2011 and 2012. It was, It remained and likely will remain the best gay guesthouse we encountered so far. A perfect Holiday in a perfect setting. And Benidorm is around the corner !

It's the 2nd time we've been here, and absolutely not the last time ! This place is perfect ! Very nice bedrooms, wonderful garden, excellent service, nice breakfast, a jacuzzi, steambath, gymroom, free drinks and even lots of alcoholic beverages are free !!! So, why even hesitate to choose for this paradise ?

Great place in all facets: accomodation/airco'd, service, clean, gym, turkish bath, whirlpool, free drinks, great breakfast. Five star level B&B. The owners know the needs of the gay customer!
Great place to be away and enjoy the great restaurants around.

Ich war schon zum fünften Mal in Casa la Diferencia. Es ist ein sehr schönes Gästehaus mit wunderbarer Aussicht, einem leckeren Frühstücksbuffet und einem sehr schönen Garten. Die Zimmer sind hochwertig und gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Jeden zweiten Tag gibt es frische Bettwäsche. Die Besitzer Bert und Herman machen zusammen mit Anthony alles, damit der Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich wird. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal.

Wir fahren schon seit Jahren dort hin. Wir können uns die positiven Beurteilungen nur anschließen. In diesem Gasthaus kann man sich sehr gut erholen. Zimmer sind sehr sauber und werden täglich gemacht. Hier bleibt kein Wunsch offen.

Voor het eerst, maar zeker niet voor het laatst! Wat een fantastische plek. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien met geweldig uitzicht en ook elke dag wordt schoongemaakt. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, (verwarmd) zwembad en veel nuttige informatie van de gastheren over wat te doen in de omgeving of welke restaurants aanraders zijn. Kortom, Herman, Bert en Anthony bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid en graag tot ziens.

Hemos pasado cuatro días en "Casa La Diferencia" (19-22 abril 2012) y la experiencia ha sido simplemente inmejorable. Las instalaciones son muy buenas: Un jardín encantador, piscina y jacuzzi climatizado, baño de vapor, gimnasio, bar 24 horas con bebidas incluidas, etc. La zona del jardín-jacuzzi-vapor es nudista opcional.
El desayuno buffet es muy completo y variado (embutidos, salmón ahumado, selección de quesos, bollos, diferentes panes, frutas, yougurt, tostadas, huevos preparados a tu gusto, zumos, cava...además se sirve en la terraza con una vista impresionante y por si fuera poco te traen la prensa del día. Además de nuestra habitación, Valencia, tuvimos la oportunidad de ver alguna otra porque Bert, uno de los propietarios, tuvo la amabilidad de enseñarmelas, y todas son espaciosas y están perfectamente equipadas: Cama que se articula electrónicamente, TV plana, DVD y equipo de música, TV Satélite, ducha hidromasaje, secador, aire acondicionado y bomba de calor, etc.
La limpieza de las habitaciones es perfecta. Anthony es el responsable y sólo se puede añadir que además de ser muy simpático es realmente eficaz.
Además, cuentan con una videoteca-biblioteca donde te ofrecen de manera gratuita películas en DVD de diversas temáticas y libros.
Durante nuestra estancia conocimos a uno de los propietarios Bert, porque el otro estaba de viaje. Bert desde el primer momento se preocupó de que nuestra estancia fuese muy agradable dándonos todo tipo de información útil y ayudando a nuestras necesidades. Te hace realmente sentir como si acabaras de llegar a casa de un amigo.
El idioma en la casa es básicamente inglés (los propietarios son holandeses) así que además es una buena oportunidad de prácticar el idioma.
En resumen la relación calidad precio es más que recomendable (sobre todo ahora en temporada baja) y es el lugar ideal para una escapada romántica o simplemente un fin de semana para desconectar.
Casa la Diferencia se encuentra en Calpe, y desde allí se pueden hacer algunas visitas interesantes. Además del propio Calpe hemos visitado Altea, Benidorm está como a 35 minutos en coche y si se busca ocio nocturno es el lugar al que ir. También en sus cercanías hay playas nudistas. Una excursión a Las fuentes del Algar (no olvidéis llevar bañador) y al pintoresco castillo de Guadalest fue un buen complemento a esta magnífica estancia aunque os advierto que da pereza salir de la Casa!!.

Sind nun auch das dritte Mal hier, und waren begeistert mit welcher Liebe und Fuersorge das Haus gefuehrt wird. Wenn es hier noch Abendessen geben wuerde braeuchte man garnicht mehr das Haus verlassen. Wer hier wirklich was auszusetzen hat ist wirklich fehl am Platz!!! Een geweldige relaxte vakantie gehad hier. Iedereen kan zichzelf zijn met een fantastische service die verleend wordt door Bert, Herman en Anthony. Kamers zeer luxe en goed verzorgd. Je voelt je echt te gast in dit guesthouse. Een auto is wel aan te bevelen om ook niets te missen van de mooie omgeving.

Voor de derde keer hebben wij een bezoek gebracht aan Casa La Differencia. Voor de derde keer was alles naar wens. Wederom door de goede verzorging van beide gastheren Herman en Bert en de altijd enthousiaste Anthony is ons verblijf van 14 dagen omgevlogen.Je voelt je echt welkom.Een absolute aanrader voor rust, gezelligheid, ontspanning, uitstekend ontbijt. Ya he estado 3 veces en La Diferencia y pienso volver. Rara vez ocurre que lo prometido es aún menos de lo que te encuentras. Todo muy cuidado y de alto nivel. Un espacio para descansar, pero también para pasarlo MUY bien. Os lo recomiendo.

We had a great stay in this very relaxed and clean guesthouse. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a quiet surrounding and when you like to go out: Benidorm is not far away, with lots of different bars. It's one of the best guesthouses we ever visited.

Beste guesthouse waar we ooit zijn geweest ! Alle faciliteiten (en heel goed), zeer schoon, geweldige kamer, relaxte sfeer, gastheren die weten hoe ook kan en het ook doen, top service (mogen we Antoni lenen ?) en een ontbijt waar de meeste sterren hotels niet aan kunnen tippen... wat wil een mens nog meer ?
Kortom, dit gaat een jaarlijks terugkerend feest worden.

It is our second time this year at the "Casa la diferencia" in Calpe and we chose this area over other destinations only because Bert, Herman and Anthony make everything possible for a great vacation. The rooms are very decorative and clean, the garden is home of thousands colorful plants and it is a pleasure to sit all day long at poolside to relax.
Once again we had a wonderful vacation and will come back very soon....

Deze heren hebben het begrepen! Dit is wat de ‘verwende’ homo wenst. Luxe en comfort. Een ontbijt-buffet (ook als je met z’n tweeën bent!) waar niets op aan te merken is. Het verwisselen van handdoe-ken en bedlinnen met een erg hoge frequentie. En het schoonhouden van de kamer c.q. het apparte-ment op minutieuze wijze. Een continue gevulde koelkast en een batterij gedestilleerd in de bar waar menig huishouden jaloers op is. Zelfs de ‘simpele’ routebeschrijving met foto’s, is zeer zorgvuldig en tot op de meter correct.
Maar vergeet zeker niet de bijdrage van Anthony. Deze jongeman, niet gay trouwens, weet op een absoluut respectvolle en vriendelijke wijze met zijn (soms naakte) gasten om te gaan. Ja, wij komen zeker terug bij Bert, Herman en Anthony. Dit is een bijzonder vriendelijk en gastvrij team waar je je snel thuis voelt. Je kunt op vele manieren een B&B runnen weten wij uit ervaring maar zoals zij dat doen is helemaal top! Tot volgend jaar maar dan een gekookt eitje met lepeltje Herman …

Beste lezer,
Twee weken lang verbleven bij de mannen in het Casa en werkelijk aan niets heeft het ons ontbroken! Prima/perfecte kamers waarin alles aanwezig is wat je ook maar bedenken kan, is het er niet dan wordt er een oplossing gezocht. Bijzonder gezellig en sfeervol ingericht zowel kamers als buiten. Gewoon heerlijk relaxed verblijven en bijzonder aardige, lieve en behulpzame gastheren! Bert, Herman en Anthony doen er werkelijk alles aan om het verblijf tot een echte vakantie te maken. Tips over restaurants, sightseeing en uitgaan? De heren weten het. Ik kan dan ook niets melden wat we gemist hebben. Casa la Diferencia ligt op een prachtige plek op een berghelling met bijzonder veel privacy voor de omgeving. Eenmaal binnen het complex ben je net een grote familie, wat heel gezellig is en wil je je rust dan kan het ook!
Let wel: Een auto is er noodzaak, openbaar vervoer lukt zeker ook maar is gewoonweg veel omslachtiger.
Echt een aanrader om naar toe te gaan, komen zeker nog eens terug.

Sans la moindre hésitation, nous attribuons 5 étoiles à la CASA DIFFERENTIA et à son équipe. All is perfect : Nous avons passé 8 jours de repos dans un environnement où tout est fait pour se sentir bien : tres bon niveau de service et de convivialité. C'est la première fois que nous rencontrons un tel niveau d'attention et de détails, qui font la différence.
Bravo à toute l' équipe si complémentaire : Anthony, Bert et Herman
Le site présente tres bien le niveau d' équipement, mais en réel c'est la tres bonne surprise !!
Nous avons cotoyé un groupe d' hollandais, fort sympathiques, même si nos échanges ont été limités à cause de la langue.
Certainement à une prochaine fois dans ce lieux merveilleux

We were for two weeks here and it was phantastic. The appartments are beautiful, good service and Bert, Herman and Anthony wants that you have a good time and.....the really realized it. What a service on many ways.
And with friends from Holland who were also with us on holiday and two Englisch guys (Will & Richard) we had a very good time!
We will certainly come back and can anyone recommend a stay in Casa la Diferencia.

Sin duda un lugar unico en el mundo. 5 estrellas bien merecidas.La atención es maravillosa, la amabilidad, la limpieza,las habitaciones con todo lo que se necesita y muy limpio y confortable. Es la segunda vez que voy y esta claro que volvere pronto. Es un entorno muy agradable con muchas facilidades.Piscina,jacuzzi hasta tarde en la noche. El bar con todo lo que se pueda desear.

Hotel is great, very clean and lots of facilities. Swimmingpool, jacuzzi, pool bar with all you can like to drink.Great breakfast with veri nice vieuw. I will for sure come back. This has been my second visit and really enjoyed a lot. If you go to Calpe ( Alicante) you have to make a visit,...otherwise you have not seen the best Place there.

We had a superb week at casaladiferencia, and were incredibly well looked after by Anthony, Bert and Herman. The other guests were all great fun as well, and the whole experience meant that neither of us wanted to leave. The accomodation is very comfortable, incredibly clean, with a superb and varied breakfast. The bar arrangements are also great, and we have happy memories of lazing around the pool, and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. We will be back. Rich and Will, Herts UK

Just had my fourth holiday at Casa La Diferencia,what a fantastic venue. A beautiful villa set in the hills of Calpe,stunning views & most importantly to me its perfectly clean. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome,the rooms have everything you could want ....tv,video,cd player,air con , even a laptop if you need it, not forgeting the fantastic shower & huge bed !
The breakfast/brunch is great,a good variety of food & always plenty of it also some great restaurants locally.
The pool,hot tub and steam room are great and like the villa kept very clean,the evenings i spent chilling out in the hot tub with a glass of cava were fantastic!!
All in all a first class venue perfectly managed and run by a great team whos attention to detail is much appreciated.
Thanks again to Bert, Herman & Anthony for another fantastic holiday and see you all again soon i hope.

-accueil très pro et très aimable de la part des hôtes
-grande propreté, rien à rajouter
-calme, hôtes attentionnés
-bar en libre-service et encas variés appréciables
-ambiance conviviale avec les autres guest, bonne expérience pour les échanges européens(se reconnaitront :Paul,Bas et Tasco,Philippe et J.Claude, Simon et Lauwrence,Max et Marco)
En conclusion nous n'avons qu'envie d'y revenir!

This fourth visit was again a very pleasant moment shared with Anthony, Bert & Herman. We've tried Madrid, Ibiza, Valencia and this time Barcelona room, all were very clean and very convinient. Decoration is modern and tastefull. We've appreciated the breakfast buffet, Herman's omelettes and Bert's massages. The hamman is also very relaxing after a day at the beach. Hello there! thanks for your kindness and hospitality! we had such a great time and spent relaxing vacations staying in the pool side dependance :)) we miss yet our little wooden house, we strongly recommend it to every guest, so cute, complete with every comfort and so private :)

Well what can I say, it all started with a wonderful welcome by the hosts.
The hosts really go out of their way to make sure you know where to go etc.
We had a really nice and relaxing time. A little bit of peace and tranquility in our normal hectic lives. Exactly what we needed.
The accommodation is first class and very stylish. The villa is secluded from prying eyes and has very good amenities.
We are definately going back there this year.

I've been 3 times already to Casa La Diferencia and I must reccomend you to stay there. The place is just great, rooms are very good, with all the details one can need and always very clean, the breakfast is actually a bruch, all the instalations (pool, jacuzzi, steam room) are great and so clean, and the team is just so friendly and nice that for sure I'll be back. I also met very nice people there but it's also great if you just want to relax. A must to go!!!

As it would be our first experience in a gay men only guest-house, we're somehow reluctant of what we'll going to find there. You see... only men... open bar... clothes optional... turkish bath... Oh well, that was only our latin prejudice speaking. We've found a polite, respectful, relaxing and cosy ambient where we felt very comfortable. With a great staff providing for all our needs (thanks Herman, Bert and Anthony!) and other guests also providing a very friendly environment without never overcome boundaries (thanks Ed, Fred, Bas and Tasco also!), we were then reluctant of getting out of there! If you want to relax and forget all your troubles, you should go to Casa La Diferencia, a little piece of Heaven on Earth!

Het was voor ons de meest ontspannen vakantie in jaren ,de casa is zeer schoon het consept is geweldig ,de dag beginnen met een geweldig ontbijt en mooi uitzicht er heerst een ontspannen sfeer de service is uitstekend geweldige gastheren Bert en Hermen die zorgen dat er aan niets ontbreekt en Anthony die alle puntjes op de i zet en ook nog geweldige lunches kan maken en de rust waar de casa door is omringt zorg voor een paradijsenlijk gevoel ook de kamers waren schoon en goed ingericht helemaal top, echt een aanrader wij komen zeker terug en kunnen dit een ieder aanraden.

Casa la Diferencia is simply put a great gay bed and breakfast. My partner and I stayed there at the end of May and beginning of June and the weather was absolutely fantastic in Calpe. The owners of this bed and breakfast—Herman and Bert-- have thought of everything to make sure that your stay is pleasant. Anthony was a great help as well. He showed us the house and carried our bags to the room. The breakfast is copious and delicious, the pool is lovely, the views of Calpe are worthy of a luxury place. The owners have paid attention to every detail: at breakfast, they would put beautiful flowers on the table and a newspaper corresponding to the native language of each guest. It’s a great place to relax, take a dip in the pool and hang out with other guests. Did we mention the 24-hour bar where you can have free drinks—wine, beer, mixed drinks? We stayed at the Valencia room and we were worried because it was a smoking room and we don’t smoke. There was actually no smell of smoke in the room so it did not bother us at all. The room was very comfortable and the TV had channels in many different languages. We traveled around a bit in the area (to Valencia and Benidorm) but we enjoyed just staying in and relaxing. All in all, we highly recommend this place and we will definitely go back as soon as we can.

Hallo,
Bij uitzondering mocht ik hier in december 2009 drie dagen vertoeven. Heerlijk ontbijt, koude biertjes super en gezellig tot laat in de jacuzzi. De gastheren zetten gedurende mijn verblijf hun beste beentje voor! Nachtje Benidorm was ook top! Ook in december is het overigens nog prima weer in Spanje. Hopelijk kan ik er weer snel een keer naar toe.
